If you are like me, you absolutely love the Planet Money podcast. Each episode considers an important topic—and does so in a way that is interesting and easy to understand. That’s why I’ve used the podcast in my economics classes. And that’s why you should consider using it as well.

To help get you started, my graduate assistants (Christian Fignole and Juan Abella) and I have gone through every episode and linked them to the appropriate chapters in leading economics textbooks. Click here to find an episode that will pair nicely with a chapter you assign. You can have students submit a brief summary of the episode or discuss the material in class. My students give the podcast rave reviews. I suspect your students will, too.
